From December 2021 till May 2022 I’ve worked for the oscarwinning film team of Breakthru Productions in Sopot/Poland as an animator.
The Peasants is a an adaption of the book Chlopi by literature nobel prize winner Wladyslaw Reymont, depicting a tragic love story set in the polish countryside at beginning of the 20th century.
The film team has had its international breakthrough with the first „oilpainted“ movie called „Loving Vincent“ consisting of over 60.000 handpainted frames in 2017.
In the last few months I was able to paint around 400 frames for Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman’s new movie.
I’m particularly happy that a new trailer/promo reel was shown at the Cannes Film Festival/Marché du film in Cannes/France with one of my animations.
I will notify you once the trailer is released.
(I will also write a more specific blog post about my work there once I find the time)
